Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering on a home construction site with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga is a rewarding and hands-on way to make a lasting impact in the community. Whether you're swinging a hammer, painting walls, or installing flooring, every task contributes to building safe, affordable homes for local families in need. No prior experience is necessary — our skilled site supervisors provide guidance and ensure that every volunteer feels empowered and supported!

Our construction projects are typically done as Team Builds (groups of 4-10 people), with the exception of individuals who can support us on a regular basis.

Volunteering at the Habitat Chattanooga ReStore is a great way to support Habitat for Humanity’s mission while making a direct impact in your community. The ReStore sells donated furniture, home goods, and building materials at discounted prices, helping to fund Habitat’s efforts to provide affordable housing. As a volunteer, you’ll assist with tasks like organizing and stocking merchandise, helping customers, receiving and processing donations, and keeping the store clean and welcoming. Whether you have retail experience or just a passion for giving back, your time and effort help create a positive shopping environment while supporting Habitat’s mission.

With flexible shifts available Monday through Saturday, volunteering at the ReStore is a great opportunity for individuals, groups, and students needing service hours. No experience is necessary—just a willingness to help!

Support Habitat Chattanooga by volunteering in the office! Office Volunteers assist with essential tasks like answering phones, greeting guests, filing paperwork, and supporting staff with special projects. Your contributions will help ensure our operations run smoothly, directly benefiting families in need.

This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy administrative work and providing excellent customer service. No experience is necessary, and we offer all the training you’ll need. Shifts are available Tuesday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM or 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM, with a commitment of one shift per week preferred.
