Blueprints for the Future 2025
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Blueprints for the Future at the First Horizon Pavilion on October 2! It was a wonderful evening filled with music, great food, tasty drinks, and plenty of fun — all in support of affordable homeownership.
Your support helps local families build strength and stability through housing. The venue may have been new, but our mission stayed the same: creating lasting change right here in the Chattanooga community.
Together, we celebrated our impact and raised important funds to keep Habitat’s work going strong. Thanks for being part of such a special night that helps lay the foundation for a better future.
We were thrilled when our Board Chair, Derek Bullard, and his wife, LaVon, offered a $50,000 matching gift to kick things off. Inspired by the generosity, an anonymous donor stepped up with a second $50,000 match!
Even if you couldn’t join us, you can still be part of this mission. Your gift will help local families build safe, stable homes and strengthen our community for years to come.

Meet Our Opening Speaker, Dan Earl
Dan Earl, a former standout point guard at Penn State, took the helm of Chattanooga’s men’s basketball program in 2022 and quickly steered the Mocs into uncharted territory. In his third season, he led the team to a school‑record–tying 29 wins, captured the Southern Conference regular-season crown, and capped it all off by winning the 2025 National Invitation Tournament—marking UTC’s first NCAA Division I national title and the first-ever NIT championship for any SoCon school.
Meet our Keynote Speaker, Eric Berry
Eric Berry, a UT football alumnus and former NFL Kansas City Chiefs safety, is a 2023 College Football Hall of Fame and 2025 Tennessee Athletics Hall of Fame inductee, as well as a survivor of Hodgkin's lymphoma. A standout at UT, he earned multiple All-American honors and won the prestigious Jim Thorpe Award as the nation’s top defensive back.
After his Hodgkin’s lymphoma diagnosis in 2014, Berry had a triumphant return to football, earning him the 2015 AP Comeback Player of the Year award. Today, he remains involved in many philanthropic endeavors close to his heart.
