Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga Area 300th Home Celebration Banner

Since 1986, Habitat for Humanity Chattanooga has made quality housing affordable and accessible for more people in Hamilton County. The need for Habitat remains -- in fact, it is greater than ever before and continuing to grow. We need YOUR help to meet that need.

As we celebrate the build of our 300th home, we are planning for the future and working to raise $300,000 and secure 30 buildable lots to support the work ahead.

You can help us prepare for the next 300 homes!

We need land and monthly supporters to help make the next 300 homes possible.

Publix Donates $75,000 to Habitat for Humanity

Publix Super Markets Charities has generously donated $75,000 towards the construction of Tangela’s home, providing safe and affordable shelter. Publix's dedication to corporate responsibility and belief in homeownership create a remarkable partnership in our mission to ensure that all people have a decent place to live.

Meet The Future Homeowner

Tangela has blown through 200 sweat equity hours, all the while working overnight shifts at Sanofi and being a mom and grandmother.

“Over these last few years, I felt like I was living through a storm. But finally, my storm has come to a calm," Tangela says. “I am living the Habitat mission: better homes, better community, and a better world. It feels like a fairytale for me.”

We are working alongside Tangela to build her home while simultaneously celebrating the 299 other families before her whose lives have been changed through the safety and security of homeownership.
